Play Date

Did you get one of these stickers a couple of months ago back in December?
Perhaps you didn’t notice but many batches of eggs had a sticker attached to it saying “pLay Date” instead of “Lay Date.”  Every 24 dozen eggs had one sticker with the “pLay Date” label.

You see, we print these through our printer and it gets very tedious as they need to be put in one at a time because a multiple feed will cause a jam.  So we taught David the easy Control+P shortcut and well, I guess sometimes his smaller fingers wouldn’t push the control button hard enough causing just the “P” to be typed before the word lay.

Or perhaps it was just the chickens’ way of saying that EVERY day is a play day for them when you are laying eggs, eating great grass and bugs, and just enjoying the great outdoors…that is the kind of life the chickens on our farm lead.  I wish all chickens could be as lucky as ours!

**We kindly ask that you please recycle any egg cartons back to where you purchased them.  We are not getting many cartons returned to us and they are very expensive.  We do not want to increase the cost of our eggs and this is the easiest way to avoid having to so.  Even if you do not purchase our eggs, or you and a family member would like to help the environment and not fill our landfills with egg cartons...please return them back to one of the following locations: HerbsR4U2 in Warren, Evan's Market in Tidioute, Edible Earth in Tionesta.  Thank you, we appreciate this greatly!
