Our son goes to school for a couple hours once a week. I don't typically hear about everything that he does, however, I did get to witness first-hand a music lesson that my son didn't tell me about. While in a time-out I would hear clapping, but when I'd turn to look I wouldn't notice anything. After time-out and our discussion, my little guy approached me and informed me that he was doing the "Chicken Dance." Hmmm...I didn't know he knew the Chicken Dance. He happily showed me the dance and I have to say it's completely adorable to see a little three year old do the Chicken Dance (much cuter than seeing your older relatives doing it at the last family wedding).
Somehow, our little one had the realization that it's called the "Chicken Dance." I imagine the thought process went like this..."It's called the Chicken Dance so chickens must do it." My adorable child at this point ran up to the chickens (which happily gathered around him), and performed the Chicken Dance as the chickens watched. He was a little perplexed and confused as to why the chickens weren't dancing with him. We came to the conclusion that chickens don't dance.
