I know it has been months since we posted any journal entries, and we apologize. It has been very tiring around our farm. We have been working to finish up a huge water project, and it is finally complete. In our efforts to become more sustainable we decided to improve our watering system. We are fortunate enough to sit 200 feet below a spring. A good spring. With the helpd of the NRCS we developed that spring and will be using it as our livestock water source next spring. It was a hefty project, but with the help of my retired father (who never complained about sitting in the backhoe or dozer) we are done. Below are pictures of the project that collects and and delivers the spring water to our animals in tire tanks. We now have the capacity to hold 2500+ gallons of water and to distribute to any field on the farm via a gravity system. No power needed.
