Mr. Mom

We have always joked that Ethan is a bulldozer.  He bulldozes through life and will bulldoze through anything to get where he needs to go.  He's just always going and when he has a plan or goal, nothing will stand in his way, or he'll find a way to get around the obstacle.  Some would put it nicely that he's head-strong...we just say he's stubborn!  Oddly enough, this rough and tumble kid has always had a sensitive side that really surprises us sometimes, like with his little sister and other babies he encounters (any child under the age of 4 is considered a "baby" to Ethan, even those older than him).  He is very protective of her and while others worried that he would be jealous, it's not an issue.

So while Ethan showed his Mr. Mom side the other day, I wasn't exactly surprised, but did think it cute.  He usually proves to us that he watches us more than we realize.  Here he is in the following pictures with "my baby Claire" as opposed to "Mommy's baby Claire."

Lunch time for the baby!

Ethan burping "Baby Claire." Note, he is using his pajama pants as the burp cloth.

She is one gassy baby...time for another burp!

But she needs to drink some milk...Ethan thought it necessary to carry the milk upstairs to fill her bottle for real as pretending just wasn't the same.

Thankfully he realizes that even though it's lunchtime for him, he is not off the hook with his parenting duties and is still keeping a watchful eye on his baby!
